Despite saying that his luck was not with him Wayne Smith finished top of the table in the fifth round of the Maricopa Cup, only not winning one game.  Second place Steve Tucker was the player who had held Smith to a goalless draw.  Simon Hutchinson finished in third place with three wins, beating the players who finished below him.  Kevin Nieman's victory in the last game of the day ensure that he would finish in fourth place and Munir Merchant finish in sixth.  Dominic Hutchinson finished in fifth place.
