Saturday’s seventh round of the Maricopa Cup saw Wayne Smith finish top of the table, saying this was some of the best Subbuteo he has ever played.

David Jensen, competing in his third tournament, caused an upset beating Kevin Nieman by a single goal.

With the special Maricopa point system (win = 3, draw = 2, loss = 1) Munir Merchant finished in second place with one win and three draws. Kevin claimed third with one win and two draws. Simon Hutchinson finished in fourth, with the same number of wins and draws as Kevin, but played less games than the other players.
