The regular four (Dominic & Simon Hutchinson, Kevin Nieman, & Wayne Smith) were joined by Odin Shafer, who was making his competitive debut as a Newcomer.

The day started off with Kevin Nieman and Dominic Hutchinson sharing a goalless draw. Dominic went on to beat Odin and lost to Wayne Smith and Simon Hutchinson. Kevin was also beaten by Simon and Wayne. As Odin had to leave early Kevin was awarded a forfeit 1-0 win. These results meant that Dominic finished in third place above Kevin by virtue of goals scored.

The final action of the day was a hard fought game between Simon and Wayne. After conceding the only goal of the game midway through the first half Simon’s defense and goalkeeping kept Wayne at bay and on his toes with his breaks from defense for the rest of the game.

Having watched two rounds of the Maricopa Cup Emily Acosta was persuaded to play her first game against Kevin Nieman.
