Well, I thought I had seen all sorts of Subbuteo stuff, but this one was just out of this world. I still don't get the whole hybrid theme, but I would love to have a Star Wars team though. This blog made my Friday night.  One that cracked me up was the Invisible Woman - I am sure that was the hardest to make!  I just wonder how does this guy find the time and money to make all that stuff?  Good job Mr. Hybrid!

Jeff Drake did a nice Jedi team here in St. Louis a while back.  Pics at the following link to the SLSL forum.

I didn't know the "Cone Heads" made an appearance in Star Wars.  I thought they were from France. Grin

The fact that Jabba the Hutt sits on two bases made me spit out my pepsi.  Nicely done.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for visiting my blog.

The fact that Jabba the Hutt sits on two bases made me spit out my pepsi.  Nicely done.

Dave, In fact ... Jabba has 5 bases...

Well, I thought I had seen all sorts of Subbuteo stuff, but this one was just out of this world. I still don't get the whole hybrid theme

Luis, The Hybrid theme is because at the 80's, Portugal has had his own Subbuteo production, wich were the hybrid teams, the ones i grew up with, and liked, because there was no other. Then appears the new LW, that were the reason to end the production of the monstrous figure. I hated it and so i have to revenge on LW my frustration, because the Hybrid Era was ended.

So i create the Hybrios ... http://myhybridgreenbox.blogspot.com/2009/04/hybrios.html.

So my question is what do you use if you want to build up a player's head to have a giant cone or spikes or whatever. Is it some type of modeling putty or something else?

Rory,
I use a type of modeling putty and some card that when it painted become more thicker.

Allows me to make pictures with enough features to look like idealized character.

In fact, Is'nt a perfect sculpture of a character, because I am not an expert in terms of sculpture. But it is a great pleasure to make these figures , once I have over a hundred pictures to do.

And as i once said, i'm not a subbuteo terrorist, i'd just trasform usual and normal teams.

"Long Live Subbuteo"
